JOYCE RAY

 RAY, Joyce Ann, age 62 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on Oct. 20, 1957, in Harvey, Illinois to the late Henry Loyd Money and Margie Kathleen Money Ocheltree. She was a dedicated homemaker who was an immaculate housekeeper and was devoted to her family. A member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and listening to the Bill Gaither Homecoming Collection. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Money and Cal Money. Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard Ray of Winchester; son, Adam (Kerry) Ray of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Brenda (Ivan) Rankin and Gay (Robin) Brazelton, both of Belvidere; brother, Jim (Joyce) Money of New Market, Alabama; step-father, Harry “Shorty” Ocheltree; grandchildren, Camryn, John Carter and Spencer; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. DILLIN SONS

 SONS, Dillin Gaige, age 17 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019. He was born on Oct. 1, 2002, in Winchester, Tennessee. Dillin was a junior at Franklin County High School and attended Keith Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed drawing, playing basketball and video games and loved eating Chinese food. Dillin will be remembered as an energetic, outgoing and loving person. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Joe Sons. Dillin is survived by his mother and step-father, Selena (Danny) Stephens; father, Billy Joe Sons; sister, Siera Sons; maternal grandparents, Vickie and Terry Grammer and paternal grandmother, Rosita Sutton, all of Winchester; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Mike Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Gardens Cemetery. JONATHAN DUGAS

 DUGAS, Jonathan Maurice, age 38 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. A native of Franklin County, he was born on Dec. 2, 1981, in Winchester to Roger and Rhonda Gipson Dugas. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School class of 2000, and received a master’s degree at Tennessee Tech in 2017. Jonathan served his country in the United States Army and was currently employed at Jacobs Engineering. An accomplished mathematician, he was a published author in professional journals. An avid outdoorsman, Jonathan enjoyed fishing, hiking and kayaking but most of all he loved spending time with his niece and nephew. He was a very spiritual and Christian person with a “heart of gold”…he loved everyone he met. Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddy and Rollande Dugas and Claude and Helen Gipson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Tiffany Dugas of Chattanooga; niece, Gracie Martin of Chattanooga; nephew, Atticus Martin of Chattanooga; uncles, Troy Gipson, Paul (Ceney) Dugas and Marc (Helga) Dugas; aunts, Janice (Joe) Brodioi and Rosemarie (Don) Dugas; and several cousins. Visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, from noon to 3 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at 3 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Ed Boggess officiating.
