WALKER, Barbara Abston, of Manchester, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, after battling complications of breast cancer. Barbara was born on Oct. 28, 1932, in Oliver Springs, the second daughter of Luther and Lorena Abston. She is survived by her sons, Richard, Mitchell and Gregory; her sisters, Carolyn Kelly and Tommie Jackson; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. “Bob” Walker. The family received family and friends at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, from 4–8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, from 11 a.m.-noon. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at noon with burial following. SISK, Henrietta Bertha Gray, age 102 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. She was born on Dec. 28, 1916, in Elora to the late Henry and Lillie May Gray. Mrs. Sisk and her husband, William, owned and operated Greenhill Nursery. She was a caring and energetic lady who loved reading, quilting, crocheting, baking, cooking and doing yard work. Ms. Sisk was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Sisk Sr.; daughters-in-law, Linda Sisk and Jenny Sisk; siblings, Dudley Gray, Dewey Gray, Henri Etta Bryant, Margie Gray, Susie Caldwell, Onella Howell, Teria Payne, Aileen Scivally and Alma Toney. Ms. Sisk is survived by her sons, William T. Sisk Jr. of Winchester, James E. Sisk of Estill Springs and Danny M. (Lyn) Sisk of Winchester; grandchildren, Lynn Jernigan, Gary Sisk, Carey Walker, David Sisk, Heather Wilder, Brad Sisk, Nora Sisk and Amanda Quinn; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren with two on the way. ASHWORTH, Patricia Jean, age 76, of Belvidere, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 30, 1942, to the late Harold Sunkle and Margaret Stark Sunkle. She was a homemaker. Ms. Ashworth was known by many as the “Candy Lady.” She enjoyed making candy and baking. She was a fun loving person and everyone who knew her loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arthur Ray Ashworth Sr.; son, Patrick Ashworth; and sisters, Debra Segar, Diane Ackley and Rose Kimmer. She is survived by her children, Arhtur Ashworth Jr. and wife, Connie of Belvidere, Karen Carr of Detroit, Michigan, Angela DeToy and husband, Richard of Onondaga, Michigan and Daniel Ashworth and wife, Melanie Shirley of Nashville; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Visitation for Ms. Ashworth is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. BRAZELTON, Jesse Francys, age 92 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Franklin County, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. She was born in Hartsville (Trousdale County), Tennessee on March 26, 1926, to the late Jesse Franklin and Quincy Adams (Brooks) Merryman. A dedicated homemaker who will be remembered for her caring nature, Francys enjoyed cooking, sewing and growing flowers and vegetables in the garden. She was a member of the Riva Lake Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Francys was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Brazelton; son, Jamie Brazelton; and sisters, Ruby Coble and Grady Williams. She is survived by her loving children, Melinda (Charlie) Knies of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Joy Loftis of Murfreesboro, Robin (Gay) Brazelton of Belvidere and Carl Reid (Sandra) Duncan of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
