STEADMON, Syble Pauline, age 91, of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Moulton, Alabama, on Feb. 16, 1932, to the late William Joseph and Lassie Mae (Bradford) Lipscomb. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Franklin County School system for 20-plus years. She enjoyed flower gardening, “clipping coupons” for her shopping trips, and her Saturday morning breakfasts and Sunday dinners. Pauline was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her sweet grandchildren who affectionately called her “Mo.” She was always available to care for those in need and was loved by all who knew her. Pauline was a member of First Baptist Church of Estill Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eulice Steadmon and sister, Dorothy Lipscomb. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester, on Dec. 21, 1952, to the late Norman and Mary Etta (Guess) Morris. Jean Marie was one of the very first clients at New Life Center. She enjoyed parties, meeting with her sisters for Saturday lunches and listening to country and gospel music. Her outgoing personality allowed her to never meet a stranger. She loved spending time with her family, friends and her church family at Cowan Nazarene Church. A dedicated homemaker, Patty cherished the time spent with her beloved family and friends. An avid University of Tennessee Volunteers fan, she enjoyed travel (especially to the beach), golfing and had been a member of a bowling league for about 30 years as well as a member of the YaYas. She also enjoyed watching movies and reading, especially the Outlander series. Patty and her family had previously attended Belvidere United Church of Christ and Bethel Methodist Church. An avid sportsman, he had coached Babe Ruth and Little League teams and enjoyed watching horse racing and college football. He also enjoyed playing Pinochle and dominos. A good father and family man, Roy Allen cherished the time spent with his beloved family who will remember his loving and hardworking nature. ISBELL, Lynn Marie Krus, age 55, of Winchester, Tennessee, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at STRHS-Winchester. Mrs. Isbell was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edmond Krus and Rita Mae Janezco Krus. She attended Mt. Vernon Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Isbell was employed for approximately 20 years at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee in the Dietary Department. She never met a stranger. Mrs. Isbell loved to cook and bake and enjoyed watching horror movies. Her favorite pastime was relaxing with family and friends by their fire pit. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Terry D. A native of Franklin County, she was born on Aug. 5, 1951, to the late John Thomas and Anna Elizabeth (Partin) Brewer. Before her retirement, she was employed by CKR. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg and Florida, fishing and having her morning coffee with her sister, Jean. But most of all she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed watching Toy Story movies with. All who knew her will recall, “She wasn’t the light of the party, she was the party.” Kathleen was a member of Broadview Missionary Baptist Church. He was born on Dec. 13, 1936, in Estill Fork, Alabama, to the late George Washington and Lera Virginia (Sisk) Henshaw. Paul served his country in the United States Army. He was then employed by Jim Franklin Chevrolet and Wriker Pontiac GMC before becoming the co-owner of Winchester Motors. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed playing basketball and cheering for the Huntland Hornets basketball teams, Alabama Crimson Tide, the Atlanta Braves, and NASCAR driver Chase Elliott, but especially for his grandchildren playing baseball. Paul was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and had sung with the Rocky River Quartet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Locke Henshaw and siblings, L.G. MCCORMICK, Janice Marie Smith, age 72 of Winchester, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro. She was born on April 6, 1951, to the late Roy Verbon and Evon (Garner) Smith. She was a 1969 class graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. She met and married Larry in 1971. Janice retired from Ascend Federal Credit Union as a bank teller. In her spare time you could find her watching American Idol, Jeopardy, attending a concert or listening to her favorite music. She was a faithful member of the Winchester Church of Christ. She will always be known as a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to everyone who loved Janice.
