DONALD CHRISTOPHER

 CHRISTOPHER, Donald Eugene, age 84, of Decherd, Tennessee, departed this life suddenly on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at STRHS Winchester.  Mr. Christopher was born in Leachville, Arkansas, on Oct. 20, 1936, to the late Grant Christopher and Delores Hahn Christopher.  He was employed for many years as a machinist at Bendix Alloyed in St. Joseph, Michigan, where he retired. Mr. and Mrs. Christopher relocated to Franklin County, Tennessee, in 2012, to be close to their children and grandchildren.  He was a member of the Estill Springs Baptist Church.  Mr. Christopher enjoyed fishing, playing games on his computer, working in his yard, playing with his dog, Prince and most of all cookouts with his family.  He was the "ROCK" of his family and will be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Christopher was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Henry Christopher and sisters, Paulette James, Linda Riley and Annie Brewer.  He is survived by his wife, Gail Christopher of Decherd, Tennessee; children, Terina (Johnny) Keown of Wartrace, Tennessee, Todd Martin of Stevensville, Michigan, Sharon (Kent) Mullins of La Vergne, Tennessee, Sheila (Todd) Baker, Battlecreek, Michigan, Donna (Don) Allen and Lavonda Bush, all of Smyrna, Tennessee, Kevin (Vickey) Christopher of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tony (Sue) Christopher of Plainwell, Michigan, Delores Christopher of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Judy (Mike) Bixler and Brenda Gilbert, all of Wayland, Michigan; sisters, Irene Brewer of Paragould, Arkansas, and Novella Klutz of Van Gor, Michigan; one brother, Larry Christopher of Coloma, Michigan; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 1-3 p.m. at Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Chris Seals officiating.
