DONALD ROBBINS JR.
ROBBINS, Donald “Doodle” William Jr., age 52 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. A native of Franklin County, he was born on July 30, 1967, in Winchester. Doodle was currently employed as an operator of a lawn care and landscape business, but he had previously worked at Speedway Market, which at the time was owned by his mother, Tectank, and Cubic. An avid golfer, he had played on the Nike team in the 1990’s as well as on several charity golf teams. He also enjoyed playing pool, fishing (especially deep sea fishing with his father), and dancing (he had the best dance moves on the dance floor). Doodle lived life to the fullest and always wanted to make someone smile and laugh. He was currently in the process of getting his counseling license. Doodle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Vera Wilkinson, Nell Moore, and Nobel Robbins, and sister, Michelle Rae Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Cindi Wimley Garner of Estill Springs; daughter, Brooke Robbins of Winchester; step-children, Stephanie Lowery, Cameron Barnes and Taylor Barnes, all of Manchester, Storm Horton of Decherd, and Serenity Garner of Estill Springs; father, Donald “Donnie” Robbins Sr. of Cowan; mother, Betty Davis of El Paso, Texas; sister, Dusty Seek of El Paso, Texas; nephews, Cody Steadmon of El Paso, Texas, and PVT Riley Seek of El Paso, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14, 2020, from 5-8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Graveside services were held on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Eastern Star Cemetery with Bro. L.Z. Johnson officiating. The register book and memorial cards were available under the carport of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home during visitation with an attendant assisting.
