MORRIS, Evelyn Mae Moore, age 93 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Sewanee. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Morris was born on June 24, 1926, to the late Walter and Lucy Hillis Moore. She was a dedicated homemaker and also worked with her husband handling the books through the many jobs he had. Mrs. Morris was an avid gardener who loved to spend time outdoors, planting and tending to her plants, and mowing her farm. She loved to talk to anyone about anything and everything. Mrs. Morris will always be remembered as being high spirited, generous, fun, and able to make the best fudge candy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Morris; son, Jerry W. Morris; sister, Edna Kelley and Ider Stewart; and brothers, James Moore, Charlie Moore, and Roy Moore. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Garner of O’Park, Illinois, and Alline Rogers of Winchester; brother, Don Moore of Decherd; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Monday, May 18, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 18, 2020, at 3 p.m. with Bro.
