PERRY, Eddie Charles, age 75, of Tullahoma, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Vanderbilt-Harton Medical Center. He was born on March 19, 1946, in Decherd, to the late Jerry and Pauline (Henley) Perry. Eddie was a Corporal in the United States Marines earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He served as the minister of Calvary Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama, for 25 years. An avid outdoorsman, Eddie enjoyed playing golf, mowing, operating heavy equipment and building projects. He also loved listening to southern gospel and bluegrass music and watching SunLife Broadcasting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Jay Perry. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sherrie Perry of Tullahoma; children, Darrin Perry of Tullahoma, and Jacintha (Chris) Hay of Sylacauga, Alabama; grandchildren, Tori Beth Perry, Britton Perry and Brylane, Brielle and Allaster Hay; siblings, Betty (Billy) Oliver of Decherd, Leon (Gennie) Perry of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Deta (Tommy) Pendergraff of Estill Springs; his four-legged best friend, Walker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, from 1-3 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at 3 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel.
