The Huntland High School Hornets took on the Cannon County High School Lions in a scrimmage at home Friday to continue preparing for the upcoming season.
The first part of the scrimmage had each team conduct 10-play drives before changing possession while the second part was played under standard football rules with 20 minutes of running clock.
The Hornets outscored the Lions 13-0 in the first part of the scrimmage.
The second part of the scrimmage remained scoreless before ending abruptly after pushing and shoving between the two teams.

The Hornets will have one more preseason scrimmage on Aug. 11 against Richland at Grace Christian Academy in a regional jamboree. Kickoff for the scrimmage is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
