The Franklin County Middle girls soccer team beat the Harris Eaglettes 4-0 at home Friday for their fifth win of the season.
Franklin County scored two goals in each half while maintaining a shutout on the defensive end for a smooth victory.
Gracen Baggett got the scoring started for Franklin County as she netted her seventh goal of the season two minutes into the contest.
Cali Banks would knock the ball in off of a corner kick later in the half to double Franklin County’s early lead. The goal was Banks’ third of the season.
Franklin County led 2-0 at halftime.
Carly Smith recorded her second goal of the season to bring the lead up to 3-0 after halftime, and Karly Neal added a late goal for her second score of the season to secure the win by four.
FC Middle head soccer coach Jacob Cashion praised the work of his defense in limiting Harris to just a few shots in the contest to keep the shutout going throughout the night.
With the win, FC Middle improved to 5-1 on the season.
The girls soccer team will next play Monday at home against Warren County Middle School. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
