The North Middle School Gatorettes lost to the White County Warriorettes 44-22 at home Monday for their fourth loss of the season.

The Gatorettes were outscored in every quarter as they could not keep up with the scoring pace of the Warriorettes.

Neither offense was able to do much in the opening quarter as the Gatorettes kept it close early.

They trailed 6-4 after one quarter.

The Warriorettes began to pull away in the second quarter with the Gatorettes trailing 18-10 at halftime.

The Gatorettes had their best offensive quarter to start the second half, but it was still not enough to make up any ground on the scoreboard.

They trailed 29-17 going into the final period.

The Warriorettes dominated the action on both sides of the court in the fourth quarter as the Gatorettes lost by 22 points.

Danica Stovall led the Gatorettes with nine points for the game, followed by Baylor Russell with seven points and Mallory Cunningham and Paris Majors with three points each.

With the loss, the Gatorettes moved to 2-4 on the season.

They will next play Wednesday against South Middle School at Franklin County High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
