The North Middle School Gatorettes lost to the Coffee County Lady Raiders 41-23 at home Thursday for their first loss of the season.
The Gatorettes were outscored in each quarter as the Lady Raiders steadily pulled away throughout the contest.
The first quarter set the tone for the day with the Lady Raiders taking a lead by multiple possessions.
The Gatorettes trailed 10-5 after one quarter.
The Gatorettes continued to keep the score close in the second quarter with Coffee County remaining ahead on the scoreboard.
North trailed 19-12 at halftime.
The third quarter continued the trend of the first two as the Lady Raiders pushed their lead up to double digits and held a 30-20 advantage going into the final period.
The Gatorettes were limited to just three points in the fourth quarter as they took a loss by 18. Hannah Campbell scored all three of North’s points in the fourth quarter.
Campbell led the Gatorettes with 10 points for the game, followed by Baylor Russell with six points and Paislie Edge with five.
Aahna Carter scored two points.
With the loss, the Gatorettes moved to 3-1 on the season.
They will next play Monday at West Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
