The North Middle School Gators lost to the Coffee County Raiders 62-15 at home Thursday for their fifth loss of the season.

The Raiders dominated the contest as the Gators were outscored in every quarter before taking a blowout loss.

The Raiders quickly opened up a double-digit lead as the Gators were not able to keep pace with them offensively.

North trailed 19-5 after one quarter.

The Gators did more scoring in the second quarter, but they continued to lose ground on the scoreboard.

They trailed 37-13 at halftime.

The Gators did not make a shot from the field in the third quarter with a pair of free throws from Chandler Kile serving as their only points for the period.

They trailed 53-15 going into the final period.

The Gators were held scoreless in the fourth quarter as a running clock brought a quick end to the 47-point loss.

Kile led the Gators with eight points for the game, followed by Aiden Kelley with three points and Xander Pogue with two.

Gavin Wise and Elijah Cable scored one point each.

With the loss, the Gators moved to 0-5 on the season.

They will next play Monday at West Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
