The boys and girls cross country teams of Huntland High School competed in the AF Bridges Invitational held Saturday at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
The event featured more than 300 runners with the Hornets and Lady Hornets entering a total of nine athletes into competition.
The top time for the Hornets came from Pedro Garcia with a mark of 20:39. This put him in 91st place for the event.
Dylan Schultz ran the course in 21:25 to finish in 120th place overall.
Next for the Hornets was Harlan Pitts in 166th place with a time of 25:44.
The other runners for the Hornets and their placements and times were Debron Holt, 169th, 26:30; and Cade MacDonald, 177th, 27:12.
On the girls side, the top time for Huntland came from Katherine Clark. She completed the course with a time of 29:33 to finish in 105th place.
Bailey Morris was next for the Lady Hornets as she finished in 124th place overall with a time of 31:51.
Harley Thompson and Natalie Stovall finished within seconds of each other in 131st and 132nd, respectively, with times of 34:28 and 34:31.
The Hornets and Lady Hornets will next be in action on Tuesday in a meet at Don Davidson Park in Fayetteville. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
