The Huntland High School boys and girls cross country teams competed in a meet in Manchester Thursday and came away with four top-10 finishes.
The Hornets finished third overall as a team, and they had two runners make it into the top five as individuals.
Eli Stevenson completed the course with a time of 18:01 to finish third for the day.
Pedro Garcia came in fourth place with a mark of 19:20 for the meet.
Dylan Schultz placed 11th overall with a time of 20:10 while Debron Holt placed 22nd with a mark of 22:03.
The remaining runners for the Hornets and their times and placements for the day were Dalton Howell, 39th, 23:55; Cade MacDonald, 40th, 24:08; Austin Haring, 50th, 26:57; Will Jolley, 54th, 28:57; and Hayden Thompson, 56th, 32:19.
On the girls side, the Lady Hornets did not have enough runners to qualify for the team standings, but all four of their athletes in action finished in the top 12.
Anna Stevenson had the best time for the day for the Lady Hornets as she placed sixth with a mark of 25:36.
Kami Riley was able to crack the top 10 in 10th place overall with a time of 26:19 while Sadie Harris was right behind her in 11th with a time of 26:31.
Harley Thompson rounded out the placements for the Lady Hornets as she completed the course in 27:42 to finish 12th.
The Hornets and Lady Hornets will next be in action on Thursday in their regional meet at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
