The Huntland High School Hornets' football game Friday at Wayne County High School was postponed due to thunderstorms in the area.

The teams waited indoors for several hours as lightning flashed overhead and heavy rain bombarded the field at Wayne County before the game was ultimately called off at about 8:40 p.m.

Huntland head football coach Bob Robertson said that he will contact Wayne County's head coach on Monday in order to decide when the regional contest will be rescheduled to.

The Hornets will next play Friday at Lookout Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
