The Huntland High School Lady Hornets lost to the St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School Lady Mountain Lions 4-2 on the road Tuesday for their second loss of the season.

The Lady Hornets were not able to get much offense going in the first half, and a late push in the second half would not be enough.

The Lady Mountain Lions scored a goal in the first half to put the Lady Hornets in an early hole.

They trailed 1-0 at halftime.

The Lady Hornets got two goals in the second half with both coming off of the legs of Katherine Clark. The goals by Clark gave her a total of 10 for the season.

However, it would not be enough as the Lady Mountain Lions scored three goals in the second half to expand their lead and beat the Lady Hornets by two.

With the loss, the Lady Hornets moved to 4-2-1 on the season.

They will next play Monday at Community High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
