The South Middle School Lady Trojans lost to the Warren County Middle School Lady Pioneers 46-16 at home Thursday for their 16th loss of the season.

The Lady Trojans were not able to muster much offense in the game as they took their 16th consecutive loss.

The Lady Pioneers ended the first quarter on a 10-0 run to break an early tie in the contest.

The Lady Trojans trailed 14-4 after one quarter.

The Lady Trojans played a more even game in the second quarter, but they still lost a bit of ground before the end of the half.

They trailed 24-10 at halftime.

The Lady Pioneers limited the Lady Trojans to just three points in the third quarter as they continued to pull away.

The Lady Trojans trailed 32-13 entering the final period.

The game turned into a complete blowout in the fourth quarter as the Lady Pioneers scored the first 10 points of the period and went on to beat the Lady Trojans by 30 points.

Ada Watkins led the Lady Trojans with eight points for the game, followed by Paris Majors with four points and Hannah Campbell with three.

Candace Dedrick scored one point.

With the loss, the Lady Trojans moved to 1-16 on the season.

They will next play Thursday at rival North Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
