St. Andrew’s-Sewanee sophomore Will Hanger was recently named to the Tennessean’s All-Midstate team after a strong season at the school.
He was one of just eight boys swimmers in Middle Tennessee to be named to the team.
Hanger qualified for the state meet in five events during his sophomore campaign and finished eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke at the state meet in February.
He also competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 50-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly at the event.
Hanger holds the school record in the 50-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard breaststroke. He also has been part of three relay teams which have broken school records.
Hanger is the son of Henry and Stephanie Hanger of Winchester.
