The Huntland Middle School Lady Hornets beat the Blanche Lady Bulldogs 55-4 on the road Monday for their sixth win of the season.

The Lady Hornets dominated on both sides of the court as they allowed just one made field goal for the entire contest.

The Lady Hornets were in clear control from the opening tip as they put up 24 points to immediately turn the game into a blowout.

They led 24-2 after one quarter.

The next two quarters would be similarly one-sided with the Lady Hornets outscoring their opponent 28-0 to bring the deficit even higher.

They led 52-2 going into the final period.

The Lady Hornets slowed the game down in the fourth quarter with a running clock bringing a quicker end to the contest as they won by 51 points.

TaTianna Stovall led the Lady Hornets with 16 points for the game, followed by Bailey Morris and Jocy May with eight points each.

Hazel Reed scored seven points, Morgan Sanders scored six, Aysia Williams scored five, Marley Phillips scored three and Kinsley Grace scored two.

With the win, the Lady Hornets improved to 6-1 on the season.

They will next play Tuesday at home against Highland Rim Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
