The Franklin County High School boys golf team faced the team of Lincoln County High School in an 18-hole match at home on Aug. 15 and came away with a victory.
The Rebels recorded a team score of 333 at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford to easily beat Lincoln County by 45 strokes.
The Rebels had the three lowest scores of the contest with the lowest overall score coming from Nathan Calahan.
Calahan shot a total score of 74 for the match.
Hayden Curl was next for the Rebels with a score of 79, and Jack Curtis rounded out the top three with an 83.
Caleb Maybrey was the final scorer for the Rebels, and he notched a total score of 97 for the match.
Lincoln County’s lowest scorer for the day was Ross Neal at 88 strokes, followed by Andy Neal with 89 strokes.
The Falcons finished with a total of 378 strokes as the Rebels finished well ahead of them.
They will next play Tuesday in a nine-hole match against Grundy County High School at The Course at Sewanee. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
