The Franklin County High School boys golf team competed against the teams of Grundy County and Tullahoma in a nine-hole match at The Course at Sewanee on Tuesday.
The Rebels had three of the four lowest individual scores for the match and they picked up the team win by 27 strokes.
Nathan Calahan and Caleb Maybrey were tied for the lowest overall scores for the Rebels with equal marks of 37 across their nine holes.
Jack Curtis was just a stroke behind them at 38 for the match. Rounding out the scoring for the Rebels was Hayden Curl with a mark of 47 for the day.
This gave the Rebels an overall team score of 159 for the match with the next closest team being Tullahoma at 186 strokes.
The lowest individual score for the match came from Tullahoma’s Andrew Cardosi. Cardosi shot a 35 for the day.
Grundy County finished in third for the match with a total team score of 206.
The Rebels will next compete on Thursday in a nine-hole match against Lawrence County High School at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
