The Franklin County High School boys golf team faced the boys team of Tullahoma High School in a nine-hole match at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford Thursday with the Rebels picking up a win.
The Rebels had the three lowest individual scores of the day which carried them a win over the Wildcats by five strokes.
Nathan Calahan and Hayden Curl were tied for the lowest individual score of the match with both carding scores of 39.
Jack Curtis was right behind his Franklin County teammates as he shot a score of 40 for the day. Davis Hammond rounded out the scoring for Franklin County with a total score of 64.
This gave the Rebels a total score of 182 for the day which was five strokes better than the Wildcats’ total of 187.
The Wildcats’ lowest scorer, Andrew Cardosi, recorded a score of 41 for the match with Sebi Aguirre close behind at 43. The remaining two scorers for the Wildcats were Chase Wiley at 50 and Isaac Lynch at 53.
The Rebels will next compete Thursday in an 18-hole match against Lincoln County High School at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
