Franklin County's Danica Stovall prepares to inbound the ball during a game Tuesday at Lincoln County High School. Stovall scored 11 points in the 57-34 loss.

The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Lincoln County Lady Falcons 57-34 on the road Tuesday for their ninth loss of the season.

A 22-0 run by the Lady Falcons across the second and third quarters would put the Rebelettes in a hole that they were not able to work out of.

The first quarter was very competitive between the two teams with seven lead changes in total.

The Rebelettes led 14-13 after one quarter.

However, the Lady Falcons ended the first half on a 16-0 run as a 3-pointer from Macy Pittenger would serve as the Rebelettes’ only points for the second quarter.

They trailed 31-17 at halftime.

The Lady Falcons scored the first six points of the third quarter before the Rebelettes found their offensive rhythm again. Danica Stovall scored seven of Franklin County’s 12 points in the third quarter.

Franklin County trailed 48-29 going into the final period.

The Rebelettes managed just five points in the fourth quarter as they took a 23-point loss.

Stovall led the Rebelettes with 11 points for the game, followed by Pittenger with 10 points and Heidi Seay with five.

Destiny Russell, Katie Walker, Mikah Brannon and Lucy Barnes scored two points each.

With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 2-9 on the season and 0-5 in district play.

They will next play Saturday at Warren County High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
