The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Marshall County Tigerettes 54-23 at home Saturday for their seventh loss of the season.
The Rebelettes had difficulty getting their offense going throughout the contest as they took their seventh straight loss.
The Rebelettes were held scoreless in the opening period as they couldn’t get any of their shots to fall.
They trailed 8-0 after one quarter.
The Rebelettes got their offense going in the second quarter, but the Tigerettes also stepped up their offensive pace to maintain a steady deficit.
The Rebelettes trailed 26-11 at halftime.
The Tigerettes built an insurmountable advantage in the third quarter as the Rebelettes continued to struggle for points.
They trailed 47-17 going into the final period.
The fourth quarter would be the closest of the day in terms of points, but the Rebelettes couldn’t shrink the deficit as they lost by 31.
Katie Walker and Chyenna Luttrell led the Rebelettes with six points each for the game, followed by Rylan Wolkonowski with three points.
Hannah Escalon, Ashtin Holman, Angela Tarrant and Leah Smith scored two points each.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 1-7 on the season.
They will next play Tuesday at home against Stone Memorial High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
