The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Stone Memorial Lady Panthers 75-40 on the road Tuesday for their fourth loss of the season.

Big runs by the Lady Panthers in the middle quarters would put the game out of reach for the Rebelettes as they took their fourth straight defeat.

The Rebelettes kept the score close in the first quarter as they were just a few points behind their opposition. Chyenna Luttrell scored eight of Franklin County’s 11 points in the opening period.

The Rebelettes trailed 15-11 after one quarter.

The Lady Panthers stunned the Rebelettes in the second quarter with a 25-4 run that quickly grew the deficit beyond 20 points.

They trailed 42-20 at halftime.

The Lady Panthers scored 16 straight points to start the third quarter as they ended any chance of a comeback from Franklin County.

The Rebelettes trailed 62-29 going into the final period.

The Rebelettes could not make up any ground in the fourth quarter as they ultimately took a loss by 35 points.

Luttrell led the Rebelettes with 13 points for the game, followed by Katie Walker with six points and Ashtin Holman and Lucy Barnes with four points each.

Destiny Russell, Madisyn Partin and Heidi Seay scored three points each, and Leah Smith and Mikah Brannon scored two points each.

With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 1-4 on the season.

They will next play Tuesday at Tullahoma High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
