The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Cookeville Lady Cavaliers 66-25 at Cannon County High School Friday in a game for the Mitch Wilson State Farm Classic.
The Rebelettes were outscored in every quarter as the game turned into a blowout in the final period.
The Lady Cavalier opened the game with an 11-2 run to establish early control of the scoreboard.
The Rebelettes trailed 14-4 after one quarter.
The start of the second quarter would also be dominated by the Lady Cavaliers as they opened the period with a 10-0 run to push the deficit past 20 points.
The Rebelettes trailed 32-10 at halftime.
The Rebelettes had their best offensive period in the third quarter, but it was not enough to make up any ground on the scoreboard.
They trailed 45-19 going into the final period.
The Lady Cavaliers did not let up in the fourth quarter as they put up another 21 points to pull away and beat Franklin County by 41 points.
Madisyn Partin led the Rebelettes with 11 points for the game, followed by Ashtin Holman with eight points and Katie Walker, Heidi Seay and Beizh Holloway with two points each.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 1-2 on the season.
They will next play Saturday against Providence Christian Academy at Woodbury Grammar School in another game for the Mitch Wilson State Farm Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
