The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats 7-1 on the road Wednesday for their fourth win of the season.

The Rebelettes jumped ahead in the third inning and never looked back as they got their first district victory of the year.

The Lady Wildcats were the first team on the board as a two-out RBI double in the bottom of the first would give them their only run of the contest.

The Rebelettes tied the score in the top of the second on an RBI double by Makayla O’Neal that brought Carissa Montgomery around to score.

The Rebelettes put up four runs in the top of the third to take control of the game as they took a 5-1 lead.

The Rebelettes added two more runs in the top of the sixth with Emma Owens and Amelia Sherrill collecting one RBI each to boost their advantage up to six runs.

The Rebelettes closed out the game easily from there as they finished off the six-run victory.

Amelia Sherrill got the win on the mound for the Rebelettes as she tossed a complete game with 10 strikeouts, six hits and one run allowed.

With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 4-8 on the season and 1-4 in district play.

They will next play Thursday at home against Shelbyville Central High School. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
