The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Grundy County Lady Jackets 48-42 on the road Saturday for their sixth win of the season.
The Rebelettes took a decent lead into halftime and maintained it for the rest of the game to pick up their third straight victory.
The first quarter was competitive on both sides of the court with the Lady Jackets holding a slight advantage early.
The Rebelettes trailed 14-11 after one quarter.
However, the Rebelettes limited their opponent to just four points in the second quarter as they jumped ahead of the Lady Jackets with their best offensive quarter of the day.
They led 26-18 at halftime.
The Lady Jackets got back on track offensively in the third quarter, but the Rebelettes continued to hold them at bay.
They led 34-28 going into the final period.
The Rebelettes didn’t give up any ground in the fourth quarter as they held on to win by six points. The Rebelettes hit 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to account for all but two of their points for the period.
Ashtin Holman led the Rebelettes with 19 points for the game, followed by Chyenna Luttrell with 12 points and Lucy Barnes with five.
Macy Pittenger scored four points, Angela Tarrant and Heidi Seay scored three points each, and Rylan Wolkonowski scored two points.
With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 6-11 on the season.
They will next play Tuesday at Coffee County Central High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
