The Franklin County Rebels beat the Giles County Bobcats 66-47 at home Tuesday for their second win of the season.
The Rebels outscored their opponent in every quarter as they steadily pulled away to win in their first home contest of the year.
The Rebels ended the first quarter on a 7-0 run to create some separation early in the game.
They led 16-9 after one quarter.
The teams traded the lead a few times in the second quarter with the Rebels again pulling ahead before the half ended. Kane Reed scored eight of Franklin County’s 15 points in the second quarter.
They led 31-23 at halftime.
The Rebels maintained a steady advantage throughout the third quarter as they doubled their lead in the period.
They led 47-31 going into the final period.
The Rebels never let the lead shrink below 10 points in the fourth quarter as they finished off the 19-point victory.
Reed led the Rebels with 26 points for the game, followed by Aydan Yates with 13 points and Ke’Andre Johnson with seven.
Kaleb Rigsby and Taylor Stovall scored six points each, LT Taylor scored four, and Kai Baker and Jamal Blackwell scored two points each.
With the win, the Rebels improved to 2-0 on the season.
They will next play Tuesday at home against Tullahoma High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
