The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Warren County Lady Pioneers in five sets on the road Thursday for their 24th loss of the season.
The Rebelettes rallied from a 2-1 deficit at the midway point of the match to force a fifth set before ultimately taking a loss in their final regular-season game.
The Rebelettes got off to a strong start with a win in the first set by a margin of 25-18.
However, the Lady Pioneers dominated the next two sets, claiming them by scores of 25-13 and 25-15 to put the Rebelettes in a 2-1 hole.
The Rebelettes were able to rally back as they narrowly won the fourth set by a score of 25-23 to even the match at 2-2.
The Lady Pioneers would ultimately come out ahead as they won the final set by a score of 15-6.
Ashtin Holman recorded 10 kills and three blocks for the Rebelettes. Jolie Bise added another 10 kills and two blocks.
Savannah Watson recorded five kills for the day while Heidi Seay had four blocks and eight assists.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 7-24 on the season.
They will next play Tuesday at home against Shelbyville Central High School in a first-round game for their district tournament. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
