The Franklin County volleyball Rebelettes lost to the Lincoln County Lady Falcons in four sets at home Thursday in a semifinal game for their district tournament.

Three of the sets were decided by just two points as the Rebelettes kept things close before ultimately falling to the second-seeded Lady Falcons.

The opening set established the tone for the match with 16 ties throughout the frame as both teams reached 25 points.

The Rebelettes were one point away from winning the set on three different occasions, but the Lady Falcons would end the frame with three straight points for a 28-26 win.

The second set would play out in almost identical fashion as the teams traded points late in the frame before the Lady Falcons won by a score of 27-25 to put the Rebelettes in a 2-0 hole.

Facing a 24-21 deficit late in the third frame with their season on the line, the Rebelettes scored five straight points for a 26-24 win to extend the match.

The Rebelettes held a 12-10 lead midway through the fourth set, but the Lady Falcons would end the frame with a 15-4 run to take the set and the match by a score of 25-16.

With the loss, the Rebelettes finished their season with a record of 11-9.
