The Franklin County volleyball Rebelettes beat the Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes in four sets on the road Thursday for their fourth win of the season.

With the score tied after two sets, the Rebelettes won close matchups in the third and fourth sets to claim their first district win of the year.

The most lopsided score of the day came in the opening set as the Rebelettes dominated and picked up a 25-10 victory to take an early lead in the match.

However, the Golden Eaglettes responded with a 25-21 win in the second set to even the score for the match at 2-1.

The third set saw both teams reach 25 points with the Rebelettes ultimately claiming a 27-25 victory in the frame to take a 2-1 lead in the match.

The fourth set would be another close one as the Rebelettes got a 25-23 win to close out the match.

With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 4-7 on the season and 1-3 in district play.

They will next play Saturday in a tournament at Coffee County Central High School.
