The Franklin County Rebelettes beat the Shelbyville Central High School Golden Eaglettes in straight sets at home Thursday for their second win of the season.

The Rebelettes dominated a majority of the match as they easily won the first two sets before wrapping the day up in a close third set.

The Rebelettes limited the scoring of the Golden Eaglettes in the opening set as they won the frame by a score of 25-14.

The second set would be even more lopsided with the Rebelettes picking up a 25-12 victory to go up 2-0.

The Golden Eaglettes played their strongest game in the third set as it came down to the wire. However, the Rebelettes would ultimately come out ahead by a score of 25-23 to conclude the match.

With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 2-12 on the season and 1-4 in district play.

They will next play on Saturday in a tournament at McEwen High School. Their first game for the tournament will be at 10 a.m. against East Hickman High School.
