The Huntland Middle School Hornets competed at the Fayetteville Lions Club Jamboree at Lincoln County High School Saturday in a final tune-up before the start of their season.
Each game in the jamboree consisted of two eight-minute quarters with 12 teams participating.
The Hornets played the South Lincoln Middle School Eagles and took a 20-0 loss in their exhibition contest.

The Hornets will open their season Thursday at home against rival Moore County Middle School. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
