The Franklin County High School Rebels competed against the Wilson Central High School Wildcats in a road scrimmage Friday with freshmen, junior varsity and varsity teams in action.
 
The freshmen and junior varsity teams played one 20-minute period with a continuous clock while the varsity teams played for 45 minutes with a continuous clock.
 
The Rebels varsity team took a 21-7 loss in their portion of the scrimmage after a pair of late scores from the Wildcats.
 
The JV squad for the Rebels was able to come away with a 12-6 win while the freshmen Rebels took a 6-0 loss in the exhibition contest.

The Rebels will open up their 2018 varsity season on Aug. 17 at Coffee County Central High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
