Exposed Vet Radio personality to speak at special seminar
A special seminar just before Veterans Day is scheduled to help veterans better understand the benefits they are entitled to, and one of the primary speakers will be John Stacy, a talk show host on Exposed Vet Radio with more than 20 years’ experience in helping veterans with their claims.
The seminar, sponsored by American Legion Post 44, will be held on Nov. 8 at First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Jefferson St., in Winchester from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with discussion taking place over coffee and donuts.
In addition to Stacy, featured speakers will include:
— James Cripps, U.S. Veterans Alliance founder and president.
— Commissioner Gen. Tommy Baker of the Tennessee Veterans Affairs Office.
— Alex Graham, a Veterans Affairs attorney with more than 30 years of experience who has never lost a VA appeal.
— Bethanie Spangenberg, a physician assistant who previously worked as a compensation and pension examiner for Veterans Affairs and has personnel assisting in writing support letters for veterans.
Ray Cobb, Post 44 commander, said the seminar will be a worthwhile experience for veterans.
“We have some outstanding veterans attorneys who will speak at this seminar,” he said.
Cobb said this is the first conference of its type to be held in Tennessee.
In addition to being owner and host of the Exposed Vet Radio, Stacy is a Navy veteran who served as a hull maintenance technician, according to a press release from the American Legion.
Stacy’s primary duties were planning, supervising and performing asbestos removal on US Navy ships and submarines.
After his time in the service, he worked for the Department of the Army, handling and storing explosives and weapons.
Stacy was later transferred to COMSEC, an acronym for Communications Security for the National Security Agency.
After a short time at the Veterans Administration, he finished college and went to work for Japanese automobile suppliers as a quality engineer/electrical troubleshooter.
Stacy is a certified in quality system audits for manufacturing and document and data control.
After retirement, he became involved with the website Hadit.com. While fighting his own claims, he used his quality-engineering experience to dissect Title 38 parts 3 and 4. With the help of some very dedicated Veterans Administration claims advocates, he became educated in all things VA from the medical side, the press release said.
In 2003, Stacy teamed up with Jerrel Cook and started the Hadit Radio Show.
“We have morphed into a sponsored weekly show that focuses on bringing accurate information effecting veterans,” he said, explaining the program’s scope. “Our guest speakers have the highest regard in the business, and we are only as successful as our information we put out.
“We have over 1,000 shows in the books with no end in sight.”
