FC Middle Rebelettes notch home win versus Cascade
The Franklin County Middle Rebelettes beat the Cascade Lady Champions 3-1 at home Friday for their fifth win of the season.
The first goal of the day for Franklin County came on a shot by Molly Moore on an unassisted look for her ninth goal of the season.
Hadley Jolley provided the next score for the Rebelettes as she also recorded an unassisted goal for her sixth score of the year so far.
The final goal of the day for the Rebelettes was scored by Payton Dearing as she received a cross from Moore with a header and redirected the ball into the opposing net. It was the third goal of the season for Dearing.
FC Middle head soccer coach Matthew Parkerson said his defense played well all night with Cadence Townsend performing well as a defensive leader.
With the win, the Rebelettes improved to 5-2 on the season.
They will next play Monday at Mt. Juliet Middle School. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
