Hometown heroes to be honored Aug. 5
As a way to increase awareness and simultaneously say thanks to Franklin County’s first responders, the Sheriff’s Office is inviting the public to a special “Hometown Heroes” celebration on Aug. 5.
The event will be held from 4-8 p.m. at the Southern Middle Tennessee Pavilion, 1041 Wilton Circle, Winchester.
Event-goers will have the opportunity to meet first responders and see, first-hand, how their equipment works.
Other activities planned include a Kidz Zone,a first responders vehicle best-in-show competition, food trucks, a K-9 demonstration, a mock DUI crash and more.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office developed the “Hometown Heroes” event with the citizens of Franklin County in mind, according to a press release.
