Pyrotechnics, more commemorate 247th Independence Day
A
When it comes to showing patriotism, area citizens sure know how to paint the town red, white and blue—all over.
The following is a listing of fireworks shows and events starting Friday and continuing through next week to help everyone celebrate America’s 247th Independence Day. Whether you choose to celebrate our freedom relaxing beside or on Tims Ford Lake or meeting up with family and friends at picnics or fireworks shows, this holiday will provide a plethora of excitement.
During all the hullabaloo and celebration, Animal Harbor staff want to remind everyone that not all creatures understand the noise and spectacle of fireworks, and therefore, this may be a distressing time for many of our four-legged friends.
If your pet shows distress at the noise and lights, please provide a quiet place inside so they can feel safe. Studies show more pets run away and get lost during the first week of July than at any other time of year.
