Keith family reunion

Descendants of Thomas A. Keith Sr. are invited to a family reunion Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Boston butt sale

Franklin County AM Rotary will hold a Boston butt sale Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with pickup in the Franklin County Annex building parking lot at 829 Dinah Shore Blvd., Winchester. Cost is $50 each (average size 11 pounds pre-cook). Proceeds benefit the FCHS Interact Club.

Decherd Independence Day

An Independence Day celebration will be held Saturday starting at 6 p.m. at the Decherd Babe Ruth field, 117 College St. Enjoy food, family fun and more. Bring lawn chairs.

Estill Springs Independence Day celebration

An Independence Day celebration and fundraiser will be held Saturday from 3-8 p.m. at the VFW Post 1893, 6200 AEDC Road, Estill Springs, featuring music by Brandon Morris and cornhole at 3 p.m. Last Rebels will play at 8 p.m. Ribs and chicken will be available as well as a dunk tank, games and prizes for the children and a fireworks show at dark.

Hank Williams Sr. tribute show

A Hank Williams Sr. tribute show will be held at the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall, 27 Railroad Square, Bell Buckle, on Saturday in celebration of Williams’ 100th birthday featuring stories and songs from the life of this country music star. Get tickets at www.onfireconcerts.com.

Fayetteville Independence Day celebration

An Independence Day celebration will be held at Don Davidson Park, 1701 Wilson Pkwy., Fayetteville on Saturday from 3 p.m. to dusk. A fireworks show will start at dusk. 

July 3

Tullahoma Independence Day celebration

The free Tullahoma Independence Day celebration will be held Monday from 4-10 p.m. with vendors, music by Vinyl Radio and Sixwire and a fireworks show (starts at 9:15 p.m.) at Frazier McEwen Park and Tullahoma High School’s Grider Stadium, 216 Big Springs Ave., Tullahoma.

Street dance

A free street dance will be held on July 3 at 6 p.m. at Sewanee’s Angel Park featuring Twelve Against Nature, a Steely Dan cover band from Nashville. Enjoy a waterslide and bounce house in addition to plenty of food and drinks available for purchase from vendors. Visit sewaneevillage.com.

July 4

Free benefit concert

A free benefit concert will be held on July 4 from 5-8 p.m. at Winchester City Park Pavilion #3 featuring Amylase. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels, Kid’s Toy Drive and Downtown Kiwanis Club Stage. Donations will be appreciated. Food trucks will be available starting at 3 p.m. Family reunion style music will start at 3 p.m. Bring an instrument and join in. Also bring chairs, corn hole boards, cards, checkers or other games and enjoy the afternoon with the family at the park.

Fireworks show

Twin Creeks Marina and the City of Winchester will host their Fourth of July Thunder over the Lake fireworks show viewable from the Winchester City Park or from a boat on the lake at dusk on Tuesday.

Sewanee Independence Day celebration

Everyone is invited to a day of fun during Sewanee’s Fourth of July celebration Tuesday on University Avenue in Sewanee. The theme of the celebration is “Fly like an Eagle.” Visit sewanee4thofjuly.org to register for the parade, arts and crafts fair and food-truck vending.

Manchester Independence Day celebration

Manchester Parks and Recreation will host a Fourth of July celebration featuring live music by Rubiks Grove, food trucks and fireworks on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Rotary Park in Manchester.

HunterGirl

HunterGirl will perform at the free Dade County Fair on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Jenkins Park, located on Price Street in Trenton, Georgia. The night will conclude with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. See 1945fair.com.

Meet and greet

North Middle School invites all students and parents to a meet and greet with Principal Holly Eslick and other faculty and staff in the school cafeteria on July 10 and July 24 from 10-11 a.m.

July 14

Friday Nights in the Park

Friday Nights in the Park will feature free live music on July 14 at 6 p.m. in Sewanee’s Angel Park located in the heart of Sewanee, featuring The Differents. This event is family-friendly. University Avenue will be closed to traffic.

July 14-15

Canoe float

Children ages 13-18 and adults are welcome to join in for an overnight canoe float and camping trip to Goose Island at Tims Ford State Park from 10 a.m. on July 14 to 2 p.m. on July 15. Cost is $40 for children and $64 for adults. For information, email Dalton.smith@tn.gov or call 931-434-6032.

Junior Ranger Camp

A Junior Ranger Camp for 12-15-year-olds will be held July 17-21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nature Center inside Tims Ford State Park. Campers will learn about a variety of outdoor topics and skills. Cost is $70 and will include a T-shirt, drawstring bag, snacks and activities. Space is limited. Stuff the Bus

Everyone is urged to help with a United Way of Franklin County event called “Stuff the Bus” on July 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walmart in Winchester. Drop off school supplies including pencils, notebook paper, backpacks, crayons and other basics to be donated to area schools. Supplies may also be dropped off any time before July 22 at the following locations: Citizens Community Bank, First Bank, First Vision Bank, Regions Bank, US Bank, V.R. Williams & Company, WCDT and WZYX.    

July 24-28

Spirit of America Boating Camp

The Spirit of America Youth Boating Camp will be held July 24-28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for 12-15-year-olds at the recreation hall located inside Tims Ford State Park. Students will learn water safety, receive a Tennessee boating license and experience three days of water training with multiple types of boats. Space is limited. Cost is $85. Meet and greet
