United Way of FC to hold Stuff the Bus event July 22

United Way of Franklin County will hold its annual Stuff the Bus event on July 22 to collect supplies for local students in need.

Those interested in helping out can bring supplies to the school bus in the Walmart parking lot in Winchester from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 22.

Alternately, supplies may be dropped off in advance at Citizens Community Bank, First Bank, First Vision Bank, Regions Ban, US Bank, V.R. Williams & Company, WCDT or WZYX.

Area businesses, churches, clubs and individuals have an opportunity to get involved in a great community project to benefit local students with school supplies.

Needed items include all sizes of three-ring binders, 3×5 index cards, backpacks, color pencils, composition notebooks, crayons, dividers with tabs, dry-erase markers and erasers, pencil-cap and jumbo erasers, glue sticks, graph paper, highlighters, red, black and blue ink pens, wide and college-ruled notebook paper and notebooks, pencils, three-ringed pencil pouches, pocket folders with brads, rest mats, rulers, scissors, supply boxes, tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and gallon- and quart-sized Ziploc bags.
