Upcoming theatre events coming to SJCC

If you’re looking for some great, local entertainment, look no further than the South Jackson Civic Center, 404 S. Jackson St., Tullahoma.

Each year, the Civic Center entertains and educates with a variety of programs for the community. Programs include their Educational Outreach Series which provides quality programming at affordable prices for schools; the Performing Arts Series, which includes a variety of show styles offered to attract different audiences; and other events including South Jackson Goes Country, dance recitals, festivals on the grounds and an ice-cream social.

In addition, SJCC’s Mitchell Museum includes exhibits that pertain to Tullahoma’s local city and area history.

See “The Jungle Book” Friday through Sunday featuring a fresh, new, retelling of the show accompanied to favorite music.

Jazz on Jackson will be held April 30 at 2:30 p.m. in celebration of International Jazz Day. The Cayolle/Stevens Jazz Group will perform.

In addition, special opportunities to view the band as one would in a jazz club are available with side and backstage tables for a private party. Tables will include a choice of wines and a charcuterie board. The cost is $70 for a table for two, $110 for four and $160 for six.
