FC tracksters open season at Georgia meet

The Franklin County High School boys and girls track and field teams competed in the Mohawk-Warrior Invitational Saturday at Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, Georgia.
The Franklin County tracksters combined for 24 top-10 finishes on the day, including six top-five finishes and three top-three finishes in the highly competitive meet.
As a team, the Franklin County girls finished 10th out of 16 teams with 35.5 total points for the meet, and the Franklin County boys placed 11th out of 15 teams with 19 points.
The Kennesaw Mountain track teams topped both group standings with 111 points for the girls and 84 points for the boys.

The FCHS boys and girls track and field teams will next compete Saturday in a home meet. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
