FC boys finish first, girls second at Cookeville track meet

The Franklin County High School boys and girls track and field teams competed in a meet Thursday at Cookeville High School with the FCHS boys finishing first in their team standings.
The Franklin County tracksters combined for 60 top-10 finishes at the meet, including 11 first-place finishes and 41 placements inside of the top five.
The Franklin County boys took first place out of eight teams in the group standings as their 166 points for the day put them ahead of Tullahoma’s 148.5 points for the top spot.
The Franklin County girls finished second out of eight teams with 144.5 points in their portion of the meet. The Cookeville girls won the team title at their home meet with 204 points.
