Fugitive caught, returned to Alabama
A fugitive wanted on rape, kidnapping and sodomy charges who escaped from a Morgan County, Alabama, detention facility has been captured by Franklin County Sheriff’s Office personnel and returned to Alabama, according to reports.
Jeremy Taylor escaped from Morgan County Sunday, reports said, adding that he was awaiting trial, charged with two counts of rape, three counts of burglary, one count of kidnapping and two counts of sodomy.
Franklin County deputies learned on Sunday that Taylor was in a tent in the Robinson Creek Road area, reports said.
Sgt. Kason Bolin, Deputies Cord Buckner, Eli Neyman, Scottie Riddle and Robbie Wilkinson and the department’s dog, Roku, surrounded the tent, reports said, adding that Taylor was taken into custody without further incident.
He will also be charged in Morgan County with second-degree escape, reports said.
