Mother’s Day flower drive to aid hospice-care efforts

Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation’s annual Mother’s Day flower drive is underway, offering a chance to order lovely Mother’s Day gifts while also helping out a wonderful nonprofit that provides assistance to patients with terminal illnesses in Franklin and surrounding counties.

Flower arrangements are only $20. Choose from beautiful, hanging flower arrangements for $20 each that will come from Wolf River Valley that specializes in raising flowers for fundraisers.

Selections include 10-inch hanging baskets of petunia wave (blue or pink), red geraniums, calibrachoa (mixed), assorted foliage, Boston fern baskets, succulent bowls as well as strings of pearls, bananas or dolphins.

Orders can be placed now through April 28 and must be paid in full at the time of the order. Flowers will be available for pickup before Mother’s Day on May 10-13 at 101 Bragg Circle in Tullahoma. For more information, call Pat Howard at 931-581-5327 or email hhrf@lighttube.net.

Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation helps those with terminal illnesses fulfill unmet needs in eight counties including Franklin, Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Grundy, Lincoln, Moore and Warren.

Unmet needs includes things not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, insurance or other resources.

Working through a partnership with local hospice care workers, HHRF provides essential help to those in need and, while the organization strives to fulfill every request, they are only able to fulfill about half the requests received. Fundraisers help meet overwhelming needs.
