Monthly Pet Wellness & Awareness Fair Saturday

Animal Harbor will be holding its monthly Pet Wellness and Awareness Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the shelter, located at 56 Nor-Nan Road.

This is a monthly event held on the second Saturday of every month. The goal of the fair is to provide low-income Franklin County residents with pet vaccinations, pet food, spay/neuter and rabies scheduling assistance (SNAP,) and to provide trap, neuter and return services at no cost to the resident.

Information concerning your pet and issues in the community are also available upon request.

Emily Holland, executive director of Animal Harbor, said this may be the last month that these services are free.

“While the fairs will continue, a very modest fee might be required to obtain shots and spay/neuter services,” she explains.

While walk-ins are welcome, it is best to pre-register at animalharbor.org. Navigate to the “Happenings” section and click on the link to register.

You may also follow and like Animal Harbor on Facebook to get current information and access to fair-registration links. Simply search for “Animal Harbor.”

The pet wellness and awareness fairs are made possible through the work of caring volunteers and is funded by The John Templeton Foundation, Petco Love and Animal Harbor.  The SNAP services are available courtesy of local veterinarians, Town and Country Veterinary Hospital, Animal Care Center – who also provide the TNR services – and Midtown Veterinarian Services and Hospital.
