CARLETTA CARTER
CARTER, Carletta “Lynn Crumb, age 45, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Carter was born in Morris, Illinois, on Feb. 13, 1977, to Sandra Crumb and Curtis Crumb. She received her LPN license in nursing from Shelbyville Tech. Mrs. Carter was employed for several years at Vanderbilt Harton Hospital in Tullahoma and STRHS Winchester, along with several local area nursing facilities. Her last place of employment was as a home health nurse, before an accident that left her paralyzed and in a wheel chair. She was a nurse who loved her work. Her hobbies were painting, music and the outdoors. She was a very proud “Mimi” to her four grandchildren, a set of triplets, plus one. She will be remembered and missed as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Farrar. She is survived by her husband, Dustin Carter of Manchester; sons, Christopher Carter of Estill Springs, and Trevor Carter and wife, Montana of Huntland, Tennessee; mother, Sandra Ricketts and husband, Kenneth of McMinnville; father, Curtis Crumb and wife, Christine of Illinois; sisters, Ann Bishop and husband, Tony of McMinnville, Tennessee, and Jodi Nunley and husband, Rex of Tullahoma, Tennessee; half-sister, Jenna Meritt of Illinois; brothers, Curtis Crumb, II of McMinnville; half-brother, John Merritt of Illinois; four grandchildren, Liam, Helena, Hazel and Maya Carter; and 16 nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at noon prior to service time at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Interment followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made by contacting Grant Funeral Services.
