Four members of the North Middle School cheerleading team recently performed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, as part of Varsity Spirit’s 2022 Orlando Thanksgiving Tour.

Elizabeth Tapp, Hallie Kate Neal, Summer Grace Kelly and Skylar Pendergraff made the trip to Florida on Nov. 22-25, 2022, to perform with other cheerleaders and dancers from across the country while also enjoying time at the Disney World parks.

The quartet earned their spots on the tour after being named All-Americans at the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at Tennessee Tech University in June 2022.

All-American cheerleaders are selected based on either superior cheerleading or dance skills displayed at camps operated by the UCA, the Universal Dance Association, the National Cheerleaders Association, the National Dance Alliance, the United Spirit Association or the Urban Cheerleading Experience, according to a press release from Varsity Spirit.

The press release went on to say that only 12 percent of cheerleaders and dancers from these Varsity Spirit camps earn the chance to participate in events like the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour.
