33rd annual Mardi Gras fundraiser set for Feb. 18
The Good Shepherd Parish Mardi Gras committee is busy preparing for the 33rd annual Good Shepherd Community Mardi Gras Fundraiser to be held on Feb. 18 at Monterey Station in Cowan.
With more than 400 attending this event annually, this has become the social event looked forward to by many in the community and surrounding area.
The evening starts as you enter a room that has been transformed with a true Mardi Gras theme. Attendees will enjoy a delicious buffet of traditional and non-traditional Cajun cuisine and a variety of delicious and decadent desserts.
A cash bar will feature wine, beer and mixed drinks from 6-11 p.m. BYOB is not allowed.
A popular part of the event is the silent auction featuring items donated by local and regional businesses and artisans. The auction is open from 6-9 p.m. and everyone is invited to bid often. Get your dance shoes ready to enjoy the evening listening and dancing to the Entice Band as they rock the night away from 7-11 p.m.
Tickets are $55 per person in advance or $65 at the door. Tickets purchased in groups of eight will receive a reserved table.
Attendees must be 21 or older to attend. Purchase tickets online with a credit card at goodshepherdtn.com/tickets, visit the Good Shepherd Parish Office to pay with cash or check on Monday, Wednesday or Friday or call the office at 931-967-0961.
